Getting Back To Me

I am a 22 year old college trying to get back to being myself and figuring out what I want to do with my life.
  • Class is too quiet
  • Stomach: Ladies and gentlemen I shall play you the song of my people.

You know it’s bad when a random strangers says “oohhh you’re burnt honey!”

I think I’m sleeping in the bathtub tonight!

And now both souvenir stands are out of long sleeve shirts and sweat shorts. But it wouldn’t be softball with predictable weather!! So we will freeze our bunns off watching OU v. Cal, then Alabama v. Arizona St.

Everyday is an adventure. This was proved more then ever today. Today my mom and me left for Oklahoma to watch the Women’s College World Series!!! Well, to begin, this was a every last minute trip. I looked up prices on hotwire and saw how cheap they were, showed them to mom and she said book it! So we get to Philly airport with plenty of time to spare. Our first flight was on time, but horridly bumpy. Ok, so we survived that flight to St. Louis. Our next flight was to Dallas. First, we couldn’t find what gate we were supposed to be at, so we asked a nice lady who pointed us in the right direction. Turns out we had to go out and back through security. Ok hassle number one. Next we find out our flight has been delayed almost two hours. This had us worried because we still had one more flight from Dallas finally to OKC. Once we get boarded it looked like things were looking up; the flight was rather empty and we got a whole row to stretch out in. Also the guy in front of me smelled sooooooo good. Well that flight was a little bumpy as well, but we were going through clouds and that was to be expected. We started banking hard to the right when the pilot came on and said that there was bad weather in Dallas and we were in a holding pattern. After a few minutes he came back onanx said that we were given the all clear to try and beat the storm in… he then went on to say we should be able to see flashes (lightening) off to the right of the plane, this happened to be the side we were on! I am not going to lie, I was pretty stoked! I have always wondered what a thunderstorm would look like from a plane. Letme tell you… IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Awe-inspiring. Beautiful. And also terrifying. At first it was far off and was just stunning, being above the clouds and seeing the flashes, so beautiful. Then we started descending down through the clouds that were moving in faster you could start to see entire bolts of lightening stretching from cloud to ground… I don’t even have words. This was all going on off to our right, but then the plane turned and we started going head on into the storm…it is kinda terrifying knowing you are in a big metal box with a ton of electronics keeping you flying thousands of feet in the air and you are flying nosefl first into a electrical storm… well we landed fine and survived through that. Now we are kn Dallas and it is about 11pm. Our original flight from Dallas to OKC was supposed to leave at 1045pm, but it too was delayed until 1245am. Ok not bad… execpt we didn’t board until 130 and didn’t take off until 200am. I was beyond tired and has my eyes closed drifting to sleep when therewas the brightest flash of light I had ever seen even with my eyes open then therewasthe crack of thunder…. itwaslightening!!!!!!! And I heardthunxer in an airplane 2800 miles in the air… I thought myheart had stopped… then we went through reallybad turbulence.I looked back at a mother and her two kids and she was reaching for the boys hand. The boy didn’t care, but the mom was clearly terrified. We finally landed that flight rather rough handmade it to baggaged THANKFULLY to our bags wondering what we weregoing to do. Itwas 300am… did we want to stay at the airport and wait for the car rental place to open at5 or try and find a way to the hotel? Well we happened to look over and there was a lady working at the car rental!!! So I am jntbe hotel room about to go tobed now:) ithas been a long day but tomorrow is gonna be longer but so worth it! We got four games to watch tomorrow!! I love softball.

Puzzlewood is an ancient woodland site, near Coleford in the Forest of DeanGloucestershireEngland. The site, covering 14 acres, shows evidence of open cast iron ore mining dating from the Roman period, and possibly earlier.

In 1848 some workmen, after moving a block of stone in the woods, found a small cavity in the rocks. In this cavity, hidden away, were three earthenware jars containing over 3,000 Roman coins. No-one knows why the coins were hidden away in the cliff face nor by whom.

J. R. R. Tolkien, a frequent visitor to the Forest of Dean, may have visited Puzzlewood, and many believe Puzzlewood was the inspiration for the fabled forests of Middle-earth, such as the Old ForestMirkwoodFangorn or Lothlórien contained within The Lord of the RingsJ.K Rowling is also said to have visited Puzzlewood, and it may have been this that influenced her idea of The Forbidden Forest in the Harry Potter books.
